Sad Day for Polish Army
Talked to my best friend in Poland today and she told me her husband called from Afghanistan and they had 5 soldiers killed by a roadside bomb.
Her husband Matt sent me a couple of emails today and like all professionals knows the dangers however you can read his sorrow between the lines.
There is NEVER a good time for this to happen but I honestly can't think of a worse time. The families of these brave men will never view Christmas the same again.
Meeting Matt this spring when they came to Canada for their honeymoon makes his being there a constant source of worry for me. I hate it when I hear any Nato soldier looses their life and today for some reason it is just much more difficult. My friend was on patrol with a different group and he is safe, unfortunately five of his friends aren't and the grief their families are going thru now must be overwhelming.
Time for a prayer for those who have gave their lives and all who served and continue to serve to right the wrongs in this world.
Thursday is a National Day of Mourning in Poland, let us all in someway pay our respects.

Reason: spelling of course
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
