    1907 Bayonet Regimental ID

I've just added a Sanderson '07 bayonet to my collection. As well as the usual marks, it has 'SRM 14' stamped on the pommel. I've checked out Bryan Brown's useful site but can't see it (Unless it's something like Cameronians Militia?). Any help from the experts out there would be most appreciated.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. SRM = Sir Roger Manwoods School CCF. THere's a good little booklet out there in forumland that details all of the Britishicon markings from 1900 until they were officially done away with in 1944. I forget who it's by, but BDLicon in SC has them in stock I believe. Cheap and jolly good reading too I understand!

Thanks for the rapid reply. I keep making a mental note to come over and see the collection again. It's definitely high on the list of new year's resolutions!

    Regards

    Chris

You'd better make it PDQ because things change in May - and not necessarily for the better!
