    Great War Militaria

Has anyone done business with these folks recently?

    Great War Militaria

I seem to have had a weird encounter with someone at this establishment and would like to get a sanity check on these folks. Any feed back would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    RLD

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I just bought several items from them last week and had a great experience. It was totally professional in my case. What did they do?

I called one of the numbers on their web site. After several rings it sounded like someone picked up the receiver. I heard what I took to be papers being shuffled around. I said "hello" several times but no one answered so I hung up. Fifteen or 20 seconds later my phone rang. When I said "hello?" I heard a female voice on the other end say "Who's calling?" A wierd question since they were calling ME! WHen I asked who I was speaking with, they hung up!

I later sent an email through their Web site contact information. I have yet to recieve a reply.

I really didn't know what to think. That is why I asked the question here. Anyone can have a nifty web site and still be a fly by night type of operation. I had never tried getting in touch wiht them perviously. Guess I'll wait a few days and if I don't hear from them I'll try again. If something similar happens the next time, they just lost a sale.

I did my dealings with them over the internet and got timely courteous responses. Maybe it was just a dumb employee you dealt with.

Have you considered that you possibly mis-dialed the number?
