One of my favorite 1903 Rifles

This came from an old retired gunsmith in KY during the 90's, unable to find any signs of rebuild. The bore is bright but this rifle has been shot alot. Nice oil finish on the wood, note the stock is still machined for the open bottom rear sight base too. This rifle was well taken care of by the former owner/s

Nice rifle I very much like the 1903 platform. Do you plan on shooting this? Are you aware of the dangers with the early production numbered 1903's?

Been around the block a few times but I love those pre-WWI '03s!. I just take mine out and pet them from time to time.

I LOVE it Rob! How many of those early beauties do you have? I'd really like to see a group picture of all the receivers some time -
the early fonts look so great to me, like the quality of a bygone era.
