This is the trouble when things are in short supply. You have to make do with a substandard gun. Hope the Greek Army has a clear out one day. ( Some long Garand bayonets were released by the Greeks last year).
Thanks for the info. Lester

It'd be nice if IMA would do the same thing with L4s. Even the parts are near on impossible to find here in the States!

One would think there could hardly be a better time for that than now!

All these rumours of the vast stocks of whatever you wish to dream up, languishing in Greek Ordnance dumps, remind me of the vast amounts of stream locomotoves supposedly languishing in Britains strategic reserve. If they REALLY had this stuff, they'd have got rid of it or be getting rid of it. And furthermore, there'd be evidence to back it up

Like all of the Garands and M1 carbines sold/returned fairly recently (past 3-4 years) to the US CMP? Real enough, those... If there's Greek BRENs I suspect no one's offered much for 'em.

Does anyone have any technical information or diagrams on how the Bren was converted to .30.06? I would love to convert one of my Bren parts kits to fire .30-06 as it's more available and cheaper than .303 British.
Did Inglis use the 7.92 magazine or was a different magazine utilized?

Same 'type' of magazine but longer from front to back due to the .30-06 round.
