    Bringing my K31 home

I should have my first K31icon home by the weekend. It's a 1943 with a walnut stock, bayonet (not matching), a bunch of ammo and brass, and no sling. The troop tag is gone, too, but the guy I'm buying it from says when he finishes moving he'll probably find it and the sling and send them to me.
Anyhow, I noticed what appears to be a mark on the reciever that looks like the "Post 46" inspector mark (the photo of it was a little blurry). I know that this mark appears on guns as early as 1942, but would it be as common as the Major Hauri (+H) stamp? I'm coming from collecting Mosins, so every little mark is a fascination to me.
    Thanks,

    Shawn

Shoot it once and it's going to make you sick, and don't go near your wife. Swiss Flu is highly contageous!
