Another of the Sport Ultity Rifles (Smith and Wesson M&P)

I decided to try a working AR on the cheap so to speak. The bbase rifle is an S&W M&P-15 Sport. She came with a fixed A2/A4 style rear sight, fixed trigger guard, standard M4 style hand guards, M4 collapsible stock and A2 pistol grip.
I added a Magpul MIAD pistol grip, VLTOR stock, Midwest Industries Gen 2 railed hand guards, Aimpoint Patrol Rifle Optic, Magpul AFG (Not in the picutre), the top rail got a Knights armament 11 rail cover and all the others got low profile (ladder) covers.

As you can see, the upper lacks both the forward assist and ejection port cover. My only real gripe is the GOD-AWFUL trigger. So I'm gonna switch it out as soon as possible with a Gieselle SSA and probably switch the compensator out with a Phantom Flash surpressor.
    Hope you like the pictures

Nice stick. How does it balance with the new stock?

Free-float hand guards or drop-in? How do you like that Aimpoint PRO?

Drop in, I wanted to see about getting it built with no alterations to the basic rifle. The PRO is take'n some getting used to, I've been strictly a Trijicon user until lately, but its growing on me.

Which Trijicon optic(s) have you been using. I've never used any of their models.

I started out with a 4X32 (non fiber optic ) with the "Christmas Tree" reticle, ran a 4X32 NIIN model RCO on my M4 for about six years then went to the 3.5X35 since anything over 4 power makes it a sniper rifle in the eyes of training and standards. I really like the 3.5X35.
