Mine rests in an ATI stock though and also has an ATI scope mount.
I'll take better pictures later this week.

I'll probably leave it the way it is, just clean it up a little bit. Its already had the crown recut and the a slight polish job done to the chamber. I'll also pull the fore end off and clean up the mold seams and widen the barrel channel slightly. But otherwise, she'll stay as-is, I got her for a hunting rifle, only things that might get "adjusted" lol are the scope, I have a Ziess 6X42 in a set of QD rings I want to try on it and I'll get a spare standard magazine for it.

I have not shot my PH SMLE yet but it certainly handles well. Still puzzled by the No 5 butt and bolt. Is your bolt handle hollow?

Not crazy about sporters but this one is interesting. I need to replare the extractor spring and try her out.

I quite like the No. 5 buttstock pistol grip ... (Oh well, suppose I should be ashamed of myself)

I have been prone to ridicule sporteized milsurps my self. This one may have altered my opinion slightly. It seems to be well done and the configuration a bit unique.
I too am a bit ashmed.

sorry it took so long to get back to this thread, but here are some better pictures of my rifle.

I'm at a loss for the finish, looks like OLD bluing, and the parts look like they were buffed to hell before the blue was applied.

Beware the Laidlericon tourch! Perhaps he would cut a bit of slack if you added some wood?
