Hey all. Thought I'd stop in and say hello. Just bought an M1icon carbine. Found it at a local gun show. It's an Underwood barrel dated 12-43, no import marks. As near as I can tell the receiver is Standard Products. I can see an 'ST' on the left side of the site, don't know of any other manufacturer that'd be marked like that. Stock looks to be all original, everything matches well and it's not been refinished. Got it with two GI issue magazines and a box of ammo, not MilSurp, 110 gr soft point.

Going to visit dad today, he's 94 and a WWII vet. He carried the M1 as a paratrooper in the Phillipines and later in Japanicon. Can't wait to show it to him!

I'm sure it will bring back some memories for your Dad. It's always fun to share, that will give you a memory too.

Welcome to the club! Once you shoot it, you will be hooked. I carried a carbine as an LEO trunk weapon for many years, and of all my long-arms, my Inland M1icon Carbine is still my favorite one to shoot. My dad also carried a carbine in the Pacific on Iwo Jima and Saipan.
