    Question '95, '96 bolt compatability

    New here-

Can a '96 Mauser bolt be used in a '95?

    Thanks.

    In a word: NO

If by '96 you mean a bolt for the Swedishicon Mauser M1896 a.k.a. Carl Gustaf
    and
If by '95 you mean a bolt for the Chileanicon/Spanish M1895

then the answer is definitely NO.

The bolt bodies have slightly different lengths: M1896 is 5.630", M1895 is 5.550"
See Kuhnhausen "The Mauser Bolt Actions" P. 40 for a photo showing the difference.
