    Another questionalble cartouche

This kind of thing bothers me. It's for sale on a GB ad and nothing is stated about whether it is authentic or not(was I diplomatic enough with my wording?).

(Iknow I misspelled questionable in the title but it won't let me fix it)

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Yes I agree, not even close. Starting bid was $40 which is about all it is worth, but it has 15 bids and is up to $261. Too bad for the winning bidder.

I wonder if "Peacemakerfan" knows how lucky he is that "JJR66" outbid him by $ 5.00. Wow, $ 335.97. I don't know which was "humped" more, the stock or the winning bidder.

The clip latch cut is not scooped as it should be either! I think from across the street it would be seen as fake.

I was waiting until I got home tonight to ask opinions on this stock. Guess I'm a bit late, but nice to know that at least I can spot a very poor fake LOL.

The common refrain from the stock humpers is that no one would ever mistake a new cartouche on a Boyds stock – guess this proves them wrong
