    good sources

I shoot a Rock River NM with a 1:8 twist. I shoot a LOT of the 62gr surplus ammo. It has proven to be quite accurate. I also have had great luck with the Prvi Partizan fodder...especially the 69 gr hp. Its reasonably priced and accurate.
I get my bulk orders from the following
    AMMOMAN.com
Cheaper Than Dirt - America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter

    Classic Arms Inc.
Ammunitionstore.com - Ammunition for sale. Bulk ammo. Cheap ammo. Gun ammo.

you can get 450rnds for roughly $150

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. They go up and down the East Coast to various gun shows, so if you order 1000 and can meet them at a show near you, you can save on shipping.

GA Arms also sells it's bulk ammo in the .62gr variety. Look under "Canned Heat" in 5.56mm. Also I have fired Wolf military, Russianicon Silver Bear and Russian Brown bear ammo in my Colt 1/12 chrome barrel and have no extraction problems. All of them work in my RRA chrome barrel too. You should not have any problems other than it sometimes smells funny and is a bit dirtier. For bulk ammo pricing it's not going to be pristine rose scented match ammo. I've shot hundreds of rounds of the stuff mixed brass and steel cased in range sessions without cleaning. Clean the rifles after every range session and lube normally.
