    Lightbulb My Inland Flipper Story

I have been looking for an early Inland flipper for quite a while. I found one for sale on a gun forum. The seller was asking over $2000 for it. It looked original to me except the low wood stock. Sooooo.......I made an offer of $1100 shipped. He accepted my offer. When I got the Carbine it was nicer than I had hoped. It was all Inland. The flipper had only original flipper sight stake marks. The hammer was a dogleg. Push button safety, original barrel, blued bolt. Now I needed a highwood Inland stock. Sooooooooo..... Off to the gun show I went today. I was happily surprised to find a nice 5 mil. Winchester mixmaster with an Inland highwood stock. I haggled and got the WRA for $800. Sooooooo..... I switched the stocks and now have a 100% Inland flipper.

Nice. You don't say anything about the Winchester? Mixed parts? Either way highwood stock on one, shooter Winchester maybe on the other, $1900. Sounds ok to me.

The Winchester is a 5.8 mil Carbine. It has a WRA receiver, barrel and trigger housing. Inland bolt. and hammer. IBM slide. Bright shiny bore. The stock on it now is marked PJ in sling cutout. Not import marked.

A small point, I suppose, but the stock, excepting a miracle, while correct, is not original to that carbine.
