    Question on No.3 Mk1 (T)

When the Pattern 1914 MK1 (T) / No.3Mk1 (T) rifles were set up as Sniper rifles ,I know only Winchester models were used. But were all the serial numbers six digits

    Thanks

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Interesting question ....

There's probably Enfield Advisory Panelicon members here who can answer with more certainty, but I would say "yes".

In regards to the (T)'s (PP and BSA scopes), I've only ever seen 6 digits, including all of the examples in the Knowledge Librariesicon. I'm not sure about the Alexander Martin (T)A conversions as they seem more random, but again the ones in the Knowledge Library entry are 6 digits, so I would guess yes to them as well.

    Regards,
    Badger

I have seen some with 5 digit s/n's, no 4 digit though. But there might be one out there.

Their selection method in unknown to me maybe someone else out there knows?
