Nothing wrong with SA 7.62mm Brens as long as they are sold as such and not as L4s as the well known dealer talked about above is doing. He has been told by at least 6 people I know of. The standard FN FAL mags of 20 and 30 rounds will fit the SA conversion but as Lester has said, they often welded 2 mag bodies together and soldered the springs together to make a larger capacity mag. Kev G has some excellent photos of this conversion.

Lester, any ideas what parts they are destroying on their gun, one of my SA 7.62mm guns has a filed down L4 mag (It was done by someone else when it was legal in the UKicon to shoot Semi Auto FN FALs and SLR) and thats it. I actually have a 1940 Inglis Bren Mk1 converted to SA 7.62 and then bodged back to .303 standard look by a UK dealer, another attempt to flog an upopular variation.
