    Bayonet

I recently bought a Martini Henry bayonet off eBay. It has several sets of numbers and markiing I'm still trying to figure out but it has 2 sets of numbers that look like the Arabic numbers I've seen on signs and such while in Arab countries. One setl is like 113 and the other is 707. Also can anyone suggest a good reference book to help decipher the markings on Britiash bayonets. I have several Marks II's I'd like to know more about. I like the Mk II's because there seems to be a lot of variations and best of all reasonable inexpensive. Thanks

Try asking on the british gun forum : britishmilitariaforums.yuku.com. There is a lot more activity there for martinis.
