    Winchester garand

I have a born in AUG 1943 Winchester that has a 1943 SA Barrel. Question is did Winchester ever have to use SA Barrels to make quota or is this a depot re-build at a later date? Any info would be appreciated.

Don't know, but they did periodically send rifles to SA for parts interchangeability testing, and that probably included barrels. I wouldn't imagine they took them apart after the tests.
