The other problem you will have is that the forum seems to protect him and other "Veteran" members. As soon as you start to ask the right questions and back him into a corner, they will simply pull the plug and lock the thread. I've seen this done a few times now. I'm not sure they want to know the facts, they just want to be known as the friendliest forum around.

This is true. I've been on the other end of it more than once.

It's a shame it got closed down before he got to air his "ablating glob of goo" theory of exploding Lee Enfields...that one's a peach!

I read a couple acres worth of the Canadianicon Parliamentary debates that he likes to keep falling back on...Thunderbox has it almost exactly right, it was the debates over the Ross and the allegations that it was prone to blowing up. What Lee failure data that was presented was to make the point that even a proven system could have problems, and was dated even then.

But what did all of that have to do with the question of how safe an Ishapore 2A from 1965 is? What a load of cobblers. Can I say that?

Time someone "outed" this fellow I'd say.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.

It would appear that his statements are being edited by the Moderator on that sight.
