War Baby ( Roughly $50) and The Carbine Club Newsletters are the best information available. You must be a member of the Carbine Club.
Carbine Club sticky at the top of this page. There you can find a Data Sheet that can be printed off and mail in. Data sheet is very useful for part type ID.
U.S. M1icon Carbines, Wartime Production (6th) edition is handy for quick reference and at gun shows, about $20 + or - ).

Your stock has the Standard Products over RWH post WWII rebuild stamp on it. Standard and Underwood were the only 2 prime makers to receive post war rebuild contracts, along with numerous Armorys and depots.

Have you noticed if there are any markings in the your stocks' left rear slingwell?
Possibly OI, HI or other markings?
The stock has the late style cut out inside for the M2 semi/full auto selection kit.
And your sear marked BCE (?) Are you sure? I don't recall this marking. Possible it could be a lightly struck BOB.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Sear Marking Correction

    Painter,
Yes you are correct on the sear...lightly stuck BOB, after removing the trigger spring I got a better look. There are no other markings on the stock besides "18" in white paint on the bottom of the pistol grip. Speaking of markings I think I forgot to mention there is no import mark!
I just noticed your location, I am nearby....Good 'ole Michigan

I got up this morning and saw a note from the site Administrator asking why I had closed this thread. I didn't know that I had.

I must have pulled my mouse over a menu without being aware. I have reopened the thread.

My apologies to Bulls-I_24 and anyone else who tried to add a comment while it was closed.

My first error, what a boob. I hope I don't get detention outside the admin office.

    Again, sorry for the error.

    Jim
