    Back again for more, as i am restoring the rifle, what equiptment was located in butt end of the stock, there are several holes located on the end and a stamp of letters on it. I would like to add these to the list of items provided from before.

    I wouldn't do away with the fore-end yet, as it looks like it was cut at the barrel band, then a piece can be spliced in, there is a guy in NZicon who has just completed 2 x LEC fore-ends for me, and has spliced many Long Lee and SMLE fore-ends, look on the link below and scroll down the notice board just under Winston,
