I have a NZ 03 3005000 S/N range with a four didgit NZ number on the right side of the Butt stock. Rifle is in near pristine condition. Has all the early attributes including small hole bolt and does have a Hatcher hole.

In 12/41 Remington had packed 1903's for shipment to
England and these were at New York for shipment when Pearl Harbor was attacked. The shipments were held and these rifles were later shipped to NZ.That being the case these rifles had to have been very low serial #'ed Remington 1903's.

Your source is in error. Remington had no rifles packed and ready for shipment on 7 December 1941.

my NZ 03 is 3021214 11-41 barrel RLB in a box, GGstock, NAZ over 6717 on the right side og the stock I got it about 15 years ago I paid 800 for it which was a lot of money at the time Could this be one that was shipped early in the war
