5 shot group from on of my replica A4 snipers rifles.
Attachment 33244this rifle turned out the best so far, nice 5 shot 100 yard group, shot with Greek HXP ball, off a bench, 2.5 power weaver scope, scant grip stock,,all GI parts NO Chicom crap..
range officer had to look twice when he spotted for me..great day at the range.

For shooting with a 2.5x scope that is an outstanding group. I really like the 03A4s, I may have to buy one some day.

its all i could do to see that target with that Weaver scope...all thats done special to my Replicas is match facing the barrel to the receiver, and thats a 2 groove barrel that shot that group...

What brand of leadshot did you use? Wow thats a really great group, excellent! The 2-groovers aren´t that bad, my two LE´s are 2-groovers too and i can have shot groups of 1 - 1.5" with them.

That is an outstanding group with any rifle. That is especially true using the early weavers and milsurp non-match ammo. I know what you mean about barely being able to see the target. Not seeing it well exactly the same way each time is the key. A true sub-MOA group. Great work Chuck.
What barrel did you install, year, maker, condtion, TE, ME?
Looks like a rifle that could do well at a CMP vintage rifle match.

Very nice group with zero horizontal stringing. How is the action / barrel bedded?

original GI..no bedding, in a scant grip stock. match rules...no bedding. you guys are killing me..i guess everyone gets the idea that to shoot that well, the rifle has to be a heavy barrel , bedded match gun, with 20 power target tacticool scope lol .. as i said,..this is a standard 1903A3, with a 2 groove barrel, in a scant grip stock, i mounted a 2.5 power Weaver scope..no bedding, no match grade tricks, no high power tacticool scope, the only things special that i do, is match face the action to the barrel, thats it, everything else is bone stock i use good surplus parts, and make sure they fit and work smoothly, trigger is a original A3, 2 stage trigger, with 4 pound pull per Match rules, no fancy aftermarket barrel, bolt lapping, or any hot set up tricks, just quality parts, all made in the USA..and not China. lol.... and thats 5 shoots, not 3.. it was real tough to dial in with a 2.5 power scope with medium cross wires, and my old eyes..the split in the group was he monkey yanking the trigger not the rifle. lol

Nothing wrong with 2 groove barrels out to 500yds. A new 2 groove will shoot better than a worn 4 groove anyday. For all pracital combat shooting a 2 groove will keep center of kill zone all day and any day. I put a citerian barrel on my 1903A3 for millitary matchs, but if I had a new 2 groove I would have used it.
