    Ever thought about selling it?

Is that the only unisued #5MK1 you have seen?

    Any pictures available?

I assume it has the metal cap on the forestock.
I got this rifle about 20 years ago here on Vancouver Island.
I think I paid about $300.00 for it back then. To date it is the only one like it I have seen but on the Island the number of Milsurps available is a bit limited.
I did at one point consider selling it…for about half a second but dismissed the thought as just plain foolishness.
    As for photos OK here you go;
    BSA (M47C) unissued No5MK1:

    And with my 1947 Faz:

    Very nice.

    Thank you for the pictures.

I can understand that you would not want to part with this one.

I have stopped collecting for several years now, but if I had a chance at one like that I would go for it.

If I owned an unissued, I would pass it along to my grandson.

    Thanks again.

Any Lee Enfield that belonged the the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, and bears the proper ID disc. That's my Holy Grail.

    Skippy,

Tell us what her inspection stamp is and perhaps one will turn up!

    All the best,

The first of the Siamese Contract rifles in number 1mk3*. The rifle and bayonet are a matching pair in gold plate. Was told about this by one Ian Skennertonicon at a gun show some years ago. Yup he has it. But a Lithgowicon HT would also fit the bill nicely. Keep my p14 company.

To clarify, Ian does not have the rifle discussed, engraved serial no. 1 w/ bayonet with Siamese Tiger markings. He photographed it in a musuem in Thailand and featured it in an article on Siamese marked No.1s in his International Collector's magazine some years ago.

Also, I have yet to come across a nice Long Lee!

I have a couple more to add to this picture, but it takes alot of effort to get everything out of the safes and assembled for a picture. Added a Longbranch and an Indian rework since this picture.

I have been lucky to have added the lens cloth, brush, container and sling to the L42A1 with the help of some new friends across the pond. Still need the IWS mount. Anyone?

OMG! six + snipers, I think I want to fly overseas just to have a look!
    Nice work!
