Could be just the photo, but the front cradle cap appears to overhang at the front. Perhaps just swapped around left to right?

    A1952 is an interesting number.

You are very astute Surpmil. Do you keep records going back many years by any chance? I just checked my register & I owned 1931 Trials T rifle A 1952 from 1989 to 2000 !! It came to me as a stripped receiver but retaining its original pads & I subsequently sold it to a very eminent forummer on the other side of the pond.......I wonder if he still has it?

Tis' you who are astute sir, for keeping a register at all! I had A1959 at one time, which is why it rang a bell with me, but that was not a (T) funnily enough. It was a 1935 rifle, but the last digit looked like it was struck separately. You may have mentioned A1952 back in the days of fax communications(!) but I honestly don't recall, though I do have all the faxes still somewhere.

Roger, No, I don't have it anymore. To be honest, I'd forgotten all about it until I saw you mention the serial number and then the light bulb in my brain came on! I upgraded to an all original but scopeless Trials "T", (1933 - A0972), with lots of character a few years ago and sold it on. It's back in Englandicon. Brian
