    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.     Its for stacking multiple rifles together by hooking stacking swivels together I think.

    You are correct. Piling swivels are for "piling rifles". If you search around here, you'll see demonstrations of it.

    Early M1 rifle stacking swivel

    The early M1 rifle stacking swivel also had the drawing number which was deleted soon
    after production started. The stacking swivel was not used on the M14icon

    Way back in the day, I found a numbered swivel at a show and figured they must be common. When Burt K needed one, I gave it to him... and searched for 20 years for another

    I have seen stacking swivels sell from $250 to $600 (with drawing number) surprised the fakers have moved on this ?
