    No.I Mk.V's?

More questions. Are No.I Mk.V Lee Enfields common? What is a ball park figure as to price. Any critiques of these beautiful rifles?

These rifles are not common. Remember, only 20 odd thousand were made over 80 years ago. There was a batch sold surplus in the 1960s. I have not seen one sell for a long time, so cannot advise you about value.

Last one I saw sell in Canadaicon was about 5 years ago, mismatched bolt, went for about $500. They would bring more today.

Well, we have an "all correct" beautiful one of these to prepare an entry to bring on-line in the MKLicon, it's just finding the time for the photography and supporting materials....

    Regards,

I intended to work up a set of photos of mine and submit it here but if you have one I’ll hold of as your photography is of a much higher quality than mine. I will say that mine is in much better shape than the above example.

Hi.here is a pic of my 1924 MK V.It is a "restored" example with replaced wood but all metal parts match and has all correct MKV parts, like rear site ,safety, mag cutoff and front band.It has an indian S/l\A mark.So I guess it was refurbished in Indian at some time, but no ishy screw. The stock is proofed in several places with S/40
The person I bought this one from had another all origional one but was in rough shape and the price was higher.
    One of my favorite enfields!
