Parker Hale PH25 Rear sight and Aperture compatibility

    Hi,

I've just picked up a PH25 Rear sight, which I understand was fitted to BSA Martini's from the 1940's. As far as I know it isn't the improved model 25a/b/c etc.

My question is, what size is the thread for the apertures/eyepieces to fit this and will other Parker hale or BSA or Anschutz apertures or irises be able to work without an adapter?

    Cheers

To be honest, you just can NEVER tell what you're getting with any of the PH sights. The threads vary from BA to anything similar and..... and......

There was a good thread o this forum somewhere. I think that P-H changed things weekly just so that the average graduate engineer couldn't ever quite fix one with the bits he had handy so you had to send it to them - together with an open, signed cheque!
