Help- need some advice on how to restore a 1944 Maltby lee Enfield No.4 Mk1*

    Dear Folks,

I recently acquired a No.4 Mk1 and the Bolt release spring and stop is missing I have attached some photo graphs. Also look like there is some sort of screw that will hold the Bolt head catch plate in place. What is that part called and where can I order a spare part?
Also does anyone know what the original wood ie. Walnut or Birch or Maple the furniture is for that rifle. I am also missing the front sight protector is it stamped or milled for that particular year.
From the first photo I got from a website , the 2nd and 3rd photo is what I have looks like the previous owner shear off the pin.???

Any comments or advice is most welcome

    thx

Please get the SAIS booklet for the rifles no.1,4 and 5. It will tell you the part names. Brian Dickicon at BDLicon Ltd. should have it and the parts you need.
