Gotta love cleaning up the shop

While clearing out some odds and ends that have been stored for my business partner (who is moving to Southern Illinois). I ran across a rubber tub I had sealed and labeled with 300 Hand guards, label reads 95% + or - WWII era. Too busy today to take the time to open it, but do recall it has most all makers in it. And too tired now to dig it back out.
I remember many near mint 2 and 4 rivet Inland HG's. Some look like they'd never been issued. All were part of a big buy I had made including stocks from a Western Canadaicon stash, originally bought and hauled back in the US by a collector out west.

Anyone remember me talking about the guy who had pulled the wood off and traveled the big western shows just selling the metal?
He was the guy that was burning the wood in a small wood burner in his garage.
These are part of that buy.

    I love memory loss.......... sometimes.

That's just part of what I have here. Little overboard, Yea.. I know. Maybe take the time to sort, inspect and clean them. Should try to picture document what I can about the milling styles and markings.
After seeing the pedersen in script U marked Hg's on Ebay sold as IP parts @ nearly $100.
Some need a lesson or two.

I am curious if you will run across any rare ones. I managed to get my hands on a "HQ" a while back to go with a stock - but its the wrong color!!! UGH!!!

If you are doing a garage sale, don't forget us poor poor guys too far to drive to your garage!!!!

Seriously, makes a person wonder what our kids will do with all the stuff they find that we have squirreled away.... Hope it gets even for all the stuff they put us through growing up!
