    From the looks of the rifle in the picture,and the description, this looks lke an original M1922 .22 rifle. If it is original and in the condition described it is rare. I think that Kerschel will verify this.

    I don't think you people understand what I'm saying. Maybe I should just delete and go on. I'm not even talking about the pictured gun.

    I'd like to build an M1922 from parts so I'd have a shooter. Is that statement understandable??

    building a 22 rim rifle rifle from a low number receiver

    I used a low number 1903 receiver with a shoot out barrel, had a 22 rim fire liner installed with an extension at the end to fit the Springfield M2 rim fire bolt. Better to use the M2 bolt that has the adjustment for headspace. Some use the drill rifle receivers and actions or they use the 1903A3 to make 1903A4 snipers in 22 rim fire. These rifles can be quite accurate.
