My Quality Hardware Machine Corporation M1.

I spent several hours, checking it with Bruce Canfield's book and different websites and it seems to be an all correct parts, unaltered, original production one. Something that is pretty hard to come by in my neck of the woods!

When you say hard to find in Luxembourg, do you mean in original condition, or just a carbine in general? That looks very nice. Right in the middle of their last block of serial numbers.

@ blazer91: There is no history to it, just bought it from another collector.
@ JimF4M1: M1icon carbines are abundant, but most are mixmasters, I don't think the GI's were very careful about which part belonged to which carbine when they were cleaning their weapons!

Donut, nice looking weapon you have there! Looks like a great find. Hope it didn't cost too much.

Do you have any pics of the top of the housing showing the hammer marks? I am also curious to see the proof-mark "P" on the barrel. Do you think it saw any armory re-builds while it Europe during the war?

    Is the stock a Hi-wood?
Would you fill out a Carbine Club Data Sheet?

    I have QHMC 4,751,969
Stock and HG are Type II Q-RMC
    Frt Sight N
    Barrel Underwood 3-44
    Round EMQ bolt

Though I'd be happy to let a few fly down range thru your's !!

    Cheers,

The reason you do find a lot of rebuilt carbines over there is the contract FN was given after the war to rebuild and upgrade carbines. Many of them were done and for the most part stayed in Europe. Many were given to the western countries to rearms their own military. But yours is a great find and may have been one of those dropped to partizan's to fight the Germans during the war.
