Fultons have a big box of spare parts for these and PH sights. I bet they'll have the bits you need

Thanks Peter, never thought about Fultons, I will give them a shout.
Easy enough to produce but I,m getting lazy, and in most cases it works out cheaper buying it compared to the hours involved making it.

I know exactly what you mean about making the parts big boy. I'm starting to feel the same too. No matter how much I enjoy working on a lathe or milling and it's back to your roots and shows them all that you can still do it, and all that but when the parts are robotic made and cheap..............

The eyepiece is the deluxe version of a standard iris aperture eyepiece, and the different colors cut glare or haze etc. These're not rare but not common and far and away iris eyepieces are the best for this job as they're so easy to tune for the light conditions, especially if you have clouds etc that create changing conditions.
