    Recoil Checks.

Does anyone have any info on the markings, or indeed any info, on the genuine USGI items. Found this one for sale but it is one of those "Made in Spain" ones, like those flash hiders that were floating about. Have a look at WB Comes Home, Page 623/624. Thanks. Mike. Mike,

I have a few. Two marked with .U. somewhere I have an NLD, but can't find it right now. They were recommended for adoption Oct 11, 1945. See "War Baby Comes Home" pages 623-624.

    Jim

Funny, I have a couple of Underwoods and an NLD too. They have gotten really hard to find over the past couple of years. The Underwood is WW2 USGI, the NLD is USGI made sometime in the early 1960's. I thought Bill Ricca had a writeup on the recoil checks, but I guess not? Here's a picture of my $5 NLD "flash hider"
