Enfield tried making various similar products at one time, but the prices were unrealistically high - no hope they would compete with commercial firms. Rather like the civilianised Champ that Austin were permitted to sell; hardly anyone bought one, as it did nothing that a Land Rover could not do, and cost considerably more.

Don't get me started on Land Rovers, or Range Rovers!

“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
