A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. If these are genuine "Red Stars" and if they are in good condition and as removed from the crates ( ie. with the red band intact and not tampered with in any way) I will pay you $5,000 for all three.

I find it interesting that none of the self professed experts here have offered up and opinion as to the value of a Red Star 03.

, they would likely fetch $1500 or so (each). My opinion. A slight premium over the going rate for a really nice non-red star.

To anybody that is interested. The price you stated seems to be in line with the asking price. I have no connection to the seller, just saw the auction while searching the 03 sales on G.B.
