A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... My interests are in all guns from antique blackpowder all the way to modern guns.

So far i've only touched the surplus military guns and some modern guns. I will expand my interests a little at a time. CZY

    Areas of Interest

    Hi All

Enfield are my interest- The SMLE and Lee Speed variants particularly.

Also interested in military scopes since the 1914/18 war to the Scout Regiment ones.

The site has been particularly helpful and the knowledge Peter Laidlaw shares so freely in the Forums relative to my particular interests has been absolutely fantastic.

Very interesting poll. As many have stated I will purchase any Milsurp if the price is right. I do not buy for resale. There is somthing special about holding / shooting a piece of history. I am a bit surprised at the low score for the Finns as they have a very diverse and interesting history.

My favorite rifles are USGI milsurp rifles, but I also enjoy Japaneseicon rifles quite a bit.

My first milsurp is a CETME, butchered, er made legal for US by Century. That was three years ago. This past December, I picked up an SMLE. That's when the bug really bit me. This month, I picked up a CZ54/91 and a Vene FN-49. I'm currently looking for a VZ54/57 and a 1917 Enfield Rifleicon. Yes, I'm a shooter. I currently compete in 3-Gun and IDPA, and I want to use the 1917 for CMPicon matches, and the two VZs in vintage sniper matches.

I do have an affinity to Cold War guns. I'd love to run a 3-Gun match with a Lux FN-49, a 1911, and a vintage Ithaca shotgun.

How about a Swiss Arms Catagory

I really like Swissicon firearms and would really like to see a discussion forum on Swiss firearms.

That's not predjudice, Herman said, thats part of the price for freedom. He could look a hole right through you when he said it. No doubt it was true.
