New owner of Lee Enfield No 9mk1 looking for rear sight

Hello Everyone. Been lurking here for awhile. I'm the new proud owner of a No9 Mk1 that was owned by Wayne Mitchell. It is supposed to arrive by mail today (if one can believe Canadaicon Post tracking info). From the pictures I have seen on Virginia's site this fine rifle has had its No4 mk1 ladder style sight replaced with a Parker Hale target sight. I assume since there was only approx 3000 of these rifles made that this sight will be very hard to find. So I came here with my hat in my hand hoping to get a lead on finding one of these proverbial hens teeth. I have sent a couple of emails across the pond but with no success. Please feel free to post leads. Thanks. Jim

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I had some of these sights taken from some Navy N9's at my sons school Cadet Force which had PH5's installed and removed before they were returned for No8's. They were standard Mk1 No4 sights but marked 25Y or 25Yds with an appropriate line engraved on the left side across the leaf and slide. I put them on that auction site but they didn't fetch much!

Ask Brian at BDLicon if he has one left
