    Telescope, Scout Regiment

Someone the other day suggested that lenses for this telescope would/could be in demand. Can anyone among the forum flock suggest which particular lenses might be needed?

You'll need to bear in mind that they are all, except the OG lens, roll-sealed within a threaded brass housing. So if you're missing the actual housing, your problems aren't over. As a matter of interest, the only lenses that I ever remember replacing were the large diameter OG (the front) lens pair/set (they came as a matched set) and this was because they were pretty well unprotected sat out at the front and when the 'scope rolled off the table, they got it - in full!

    So, who's short of what?

Hello Peter, well I'm certainly in need of an OG front set! I'd be very interested if they were available.
    Matt.

You're right! But do you know the reason? It's because that lens acts as a screen and your eye sees what's on the flat surface facing you.

Thanks Neil and Peter, I did post on another thread regarding the coating that had started to come away in places, Son said it was vulcanised rubber that some makers used, just wonder if anyone knows of a liquid form that could be used to re coat it.
