Never heard that one. Is it a WWII movie or different war? Or something entirely different?

Aaaah, old sci fi. I'm assuming the carbine action was in the older version. No?

Yes the old one, when they landed they were circled with GI's, many with carbines.

Best part of that movie IMO.

Don't recall the correct title, but the John Wayne movie as Red Adair? Fighting oil well fires, shows Reds crew being sniped on by carbines while fighting oil well fires in Central America.
    Was it Hell Fighters?

A recent TV series not on for long called Jericho showed one of the stars using a carbine to fend off roaming gangs. Noticed several times there was no rear sight on it.

Who needs a rear sight when fighting off hordes of gangs???? LOL. I just started watching that series. Looking forward to that. I was surprised by the first gunfight they showed with the convicts. I thought it looked well done. But they had pistols and appeared to have all their sights on. Hehehhe

I never did see Hell Fighters yet. And I guess I need to. My wife and I both like watching John Wayne movies.

Hey, another movie filled with carbine action is Planet of the Apes. Albeit the stocks are actually knotty tree branches!
