I shed some pounds (RRA 2-stage)

I knew that the trigger-pull of my old DPMS AR15 was heavy; much heavier than my M1917. I finally broke-down and ordered an RRA 2-stage trigger, and took a "before" and "after" measurement:

    - before: 5894 grams (13 lbs!)
    - after: 2227 grams (4 lbs 14.5 oz.)

This is the weight at which I can slowly lift the rifle without breaking the trigger; but a little wiggle of the rifle causes the trigger to break.

Now I this is going to tighten-up my groups!

I've got a RRA 2 stage 3.5 pound trigger in my AR. Beautiful triggers! Just wait till it breaks in, so smooth, and It breaks very crisp.

Not a bad trigger group. Have had a couple, but converted to the various Geissele units. The SSA is very nice, as I have felt the need to adjust the other types, they might as well have been SSAs. But the take up on the moreexpensive units CAN be much lighter.

I think a friend has my last Rock River FCG. He's quite satisfied with it. Oddly, my last two Colt carbines have had quite acceptable triggers, so they weren't swapped out. But others have been quite bad!
