    No4(T) Rifle Number 34007

While at the Trafalgar meeting at Bisley yesterday I picked up an original No4(T) butt from a box of of standard used ones

It has the original rifle number 34007 stamped on the flat that goes into the butt socket on the rifle.

It has had namy coats of BLOicon over the years and a very deep shine with no dings at all - you can just make out the S51 but only the first two digits of the telecope number: 23???.
There is no cheek piece, but the screw holes are there.

Is that rifle out there anywhere?

Try and identify more of the telescope number and I might be able to help. The trouble with the number 34007 is that it could have been prefixed by almost any letter from A to Z!

Good spot! Was it the same price as all the other no4 butts?

No trace on 23594 but 23584 was an L1A1 I'd done inthe 80's
