One amazing week in Carbine collecting
Last Sat. I was making my rounds at the local show and this 3.05 S.G. caught my attention on a guys shoulder, the stock being very dry and the whole gun being dusty filthy the seller had no interest in it other then getting some money to buy revolvers, I believe his story it was in a relatives attic by the condition I believe it. Nice cartouche, can still see the milling marks in the wood, a unreadable green ink stamp in barrel channel, shiny bore after being cleaned, 1.5 at the muzzle very little wear on it at all, exactly what you would expect from a bring back carbine inside except for a unmarked recoil plate, it has rough milling marks that have transferred into the wood. There is a small circular hairline crack behind the recoil plate. Bonus it came with a small buckle Khaki C-tip, oiler and a mag.

Then last night a friend from the gun club brought over 3.9 Inland, again exactly what you would expect to find in it, the cartouche is lightly struck, circle "P" on grip, again a green ink stamp in barrel channel, different then my RSG stocks. 1.5 on the muzzle and clean, the only thing debateable is the "V" slide being discussed in the other thread. He said his brother bought it as a trunk gun during the 60's riots (he was a cop). Came with sling, oiler 6 X 15 rounders and 2 X 30's, also 42 rounds of WW2 ammo.

Not sure if the links will work, I am having problems. OK off to buy lottery tickets now, may be on my lucky streak.

You had a REALLY good week! Your Inland is nearly a twin of mine. What's the barrel date on the Inland? It may have been a DCM/NRA weapon.

Did any of the DCM guns make it thru with the flip sights????

I understand that some did. They did not have the latest upgrades for some reason, and were surplused out through DCM I don't know if mine is a "bring-back" or a DCM weapon, just that it came from the estate of an elderly man whose family said he had it for a very long, long time.
