A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. but not many at all they were an experiment/trails but it went bust .when I worked by Longbranch I had a customer who was positive he had a Canadianicon JC and since he used to work at LB I beleave him unfortunately I never saw it .He kept it at his hunting camp and wouldn't tell me how he got it .he gave me quite a few in the white and unfinished bits and pieces from LB including a neat row of Browning Hi-power front sights like a strip of sights an unfinished barrel coller for a sten a few FN bits and pieces all in the white or unfinished machining .

A decade ago i recall that when we would order a mk1 sight for a #4 Enfield in Cdn service we would receive the sights as you show above. I do not recall the C arrow on them mind you, and cannot say if they were purchsed in the era of the 90s from Brit surplus stocks, or whether they were in Cdn stock for the previous 50 years. I do recall them having the B on them, as initially I thought it might have been a LB.
