What's up with ridiculous handguard prices????

I was looking for a cheap (even repairable cracked) handguard for my "shooter" stock set. I could not believe the $$$$$ people want for handguards. Cheapest I found was $24 for a birch, but I was hoping for dark to go with the stock. Most are $40 and up!

I think I have one you can have. I'll look Thursday. Heading for the coast to hang with my brother tomorrow. Haven't seen him in over a year.

ARGH! I love Pismo and Cambria. I was thinking of taking my wife there sometime this winter to do some surf fishing and commune with the sea. Have fun!

When the bidding ended for the Garands the final bid was $309 each and included the spare parts. Now factor in the shipping and the price is going to be even higher plus the mark up. The total bid was well over $26,000,000.00 for the whole lot of rifles and all the spare parts. So don't go looking for any $220 price tags on these rifles.

The only "thing" that is going to sell for $220 is going to be the pitted, re-assembled rifles using worn and broken parts of the weapons that would otherwise go in the scrap metal heap.

    Just my two cents....
