It's not that CMPicon is out of those grades of rifles, they have stock, it's the panic buying that's increased demand to the point where all rifles are going to mail order sales and there are no "extras" to put out on the rack in the store. Went to the South store on 26 Jan and the only M1icon's on the rack were M1C's, M1D's, and the specials. We went down there to pick out a rifle for a young shooter I've been coaching. The pic below is what we found.

Another option for you is to wait and go to the CMP Games East at Camp Butner in May. They bring a truck full of M1's to sell at the match. Might be a shorter drive for you. (at least they did last year. May want to confirm)

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail.
