    Just a Rant

I was looking at the New American Rifleman magazine when I stumbled on this new Mossberg lever action. Parkerized, AR M4 style stock, night sights tactical forend rail for attaching your forward grips, lights, lasers etc. Not to insult any future owners reading this but ouch, I hope this isn't the future of firearms.
Instead I will be Thankful this thanksgiving for having wonderful mechanically interchangeable, sexy, smooth running, highly diverse and collectable carbines and wonderful people on this board to share the voyage with.

I didn't see it. I opted for the American Hunter the last two years. I just wanted a change. I don't think it was in that one. Got any pics?

Glad I am not the only one. It reminds me of my car days when someone would take say a pefectly lovely Corvette and add huge tires, fender flares,etc.... We called them "shade tree customs" . That gun looks like the firearm equivelent of a "shade tree custom". To each his own I suppose.

I'm sure if you google it you'll see it like a marlin 30-30 parked with a collapseable AR stock and a synthetic forend with a rail didn't catch the caliber I just thought my god a tactical lever action where did we go wrong, gave ugly a new name

I saw one. I felt I had to wash my eyes out and go to confession.

Not being carbine related, this might be better discussed on the Milsurps General Discussion Forum.
