You may be right about the economy loosening things up. My original inland was sold by the family of a deceased WW2 vet raising money, and my really clean, non-import, 95% finish, Standard Products (mix-master) was sold to the dealer because of financial hardship. I was at another shop where they had a whole collection of guns from a family in trouble.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Around here there have been more fire sales then I have money for, we actually had a family, mom dad kids pull up in the middle of one of our rifle matches with there fathers guns he had passed 5 years back. SVT 40, G43, Mauser Lugers. Very strange turned out they found the clubs vintage military matches online and came to find proper homes for the heirlooms, at the end of the day they were saving Grandpas guns for the Grandkids but needed to cash out. Around here Tractors, pickups, hot rods and firearms seem to be getting dumped by folks for cash in hand.
