A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Not to say we never will, but nothing is being looked at right now.
    Sorry, Matt

    I've received the same anzwer.

Peter, I know all about how these things work. Talk is cheap. Let Rich get back to me and we'll take it from there. Brian

I can tell you right now that if it's 50,000 bullets plus tooling costs, there's no way I can foot the bill alone. The big question: Does anyone want to put their money where their mouth is? If 50 people bought a 1000 each, problem solved.
Sign me on for 2 (two) thousands bullets IF :

A- The Sierra Bullets Company can really produce the very same Mk VII 174 gr. 303 Britishicon bullet, with the very same ballistic coefficient (which, by the way, nobody seems to know, here or elsewhere)

B- The price of that bullet is comparable to the price of their 303 British Match King HPBT 174 gr. 311" bullet.

Now, Mr Laidlericon, let's see if I will be a non-shower AFTER the event ...

A bit of humor is always welcome though I do not have an answer to your question.

That was a bit barbed Snowy. What did I do to deserve that? As one who's done it several times (and been luimbered I hasten to add.....), I'm just stating the obvious with no pointing or reflection on anyone

The B.C. for the MkVII bullet is given in the 1929 Textbook as 0.255 for short (up to 1000yds) ranges.

Brian - Have you contacted Hornady? they seem to be making a good range of non-mainstream cartridges. Their 3130G http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/...roductId/21415 is a great projectile.

Here's the scoop as of this afternoon. Rich hasn't presented them at R&D yet. I was under the impression he had from his previous email so my mistake. He has the originals I sent and will present them to R&D. If they decide to add them to production, then they'll be in a green box. Personally, I think that a flat base MK equivalent is the ticket. If they nix the idea, then it'll be up to us to do a 200k order to make it worthwhile. I'll be checking in and prodding him. I reckon the inquiries to others at Sierra that you guys have made doesn't hurt either. It shows that there's interest. I haven't contacted Hornady. I'm sure they make great projectiles but I'll blatantly admit that I'm biased towards Sierra's products. Always have been and probably always will be.
