I always wonder about this kind of statement.

Why not?
Unless of course the second bidder drops dead / drops out / disappears off the face of the earth ... and the third ... and fourth ...
Of course, I would never for a moment doubt any of these stories...
...Excuse me a moment, I must rush to see a man who has offered me the Eiffel Tower at a bargain price! Cash, of course.

Patrick,
Had the seller offered it to the 2nd place bidder, it would have cost $500. This 2nd bidder had bid 8 times, username C***F (27)
Again here is the first auctions bid history,

P.S. I've heard of some fine works from a relatively unknown painter from Michigan. They will most certainly go up in $$ value after his passing...
Cheers All,

Thanks.....
...to Badger & JimF4M1s for posting the actual links to the ebay auctions to which I referred. I don't know how to do this yet and it sure made it easier on the viewers.

Chips,
Go up to the task bar that show the address. Usually starts with http:/ Left click on that and it should highlight in blue. While highlighted, hit the Ctrl key and the C key at the same time. That copies it. Go to the post you are doing and hit the Ctrl key and the V key at the same time. That will paste it into your post. Click on the preview to see how it came out.
Another way doing the same thing. Go to the http:/ right click and you get a drop down menu. Click on copy. Go to your post, right click again and then click on paste.
Real easy, after a couple times you will have it without thinking about it.

Sold for $102.50. I guess it's time to pull out some oilers. That's more then I sold Mint, out of the original pack, Rock-Ola's.

Test
I have tried to copy the ebay auction page address here using JimF4M1s instructions. What a crazy bidding pattern -again. JumpJacket has me stumped. I just don't believe any of us will get $100 for any oiler - but I might give it a try!

Hey Chip,
I still have my notes here on how Harlan schooled me to be able to post pictures.
It was free!
Much cheaper than my Kids black mailing me for their help.
Speaking of Harlan,
I hope he's doing well.
I know he's been having health issues.
Hang in there Harlan,
Love you little Buddy!

I see that positive feedback was left for the $102.50 II oiler...

In fact the buyer of the II oiler was also hot after this sling, (which sold for $237.50) bidding up to $235.00 !
