    Christmas Krag

I've been looking for a Kragicon a long time, but I didn't want junk. Wife decided she would find me one. We were at a LGS and my wife asked the owner if he had any. Said he had one, but didn't want to sell it. He got it out ('98 Model) so my wife could get an idea what she was looking for.

This was the best Krag I've seen, perfect for its age. Good bore, smooth action. Good orginal wood. No rust or pitting but of course the bluing was worn as you'd expect from a 112 year old rifle.

I fell in love with the rifle, Guy didn't want to sell it so I moved on to keep from drueling all over it.

Anyway, don't know how, but wife talks him out of the rifle (I'm sure she paid too much but I don't care.

Wife let me shoot 5 rounds (it shoots better then it looks) and take some pictures, but the evil woman put it up, says I can't have it until Christmas.

That looks great! You are a very lucky man to have a wife like that. I love the look of an old krag.

Wife and Kragicon are both keepers. Lucky fellow. Not sure which is harder to find a good Krag or a good wife.
